Re: Turrets and fire arc...

I've only a quick read through under the belt, but it seems turret rotation/position is a bit fiddly for this scale (both unit and time size) ? Dunno...I know the ink isn't even dry yet, and I really, really like the impression I've gotten so far and don't want this little question to do anything to...

Re: Using 10/12mm Figures

Dunno about reducing the distances, since 10-12mm figs are still 5 - 6x greater than the ground scale?
I'm confused as to the goal/objective, since -as you said- it would be a lot of work!

Re: To make TT happy.... basing!

The biggest problem I see with using the wider (50mm) basing for the smaller scales (10mm, 6mm) is that they'll potentially be too large to fit inside appropriately scaled BUA sectors. Thoughts? I've not taken any steps toward execution of the idea yet, but I'm considering making BUAs that will hol...

Re: Lard Locator board please!

The new chat room showed that there are some Lardies nearer to me than previously known, so I thought it would be worth giving this topic a bump to remind everyone of the locator's existence. Not much hope of getting together now, but I, for one, would appreciate a little light at the end of this tu...

Yes - iirc from the videos.

Re: Battalion level WW2 Now called "O" Group or the story of "Oooooh"

My (feeble) understanding is that the number of figures used (as well as their size) is left to personal preference / visual appeal. The base size only has an impact when ground scale (in this case 1:1000, iirc) is considered (if considered at all?) - it depends on how much space you want a section/...

Re: Battalion level WW2 Now called "O" Group or the story of "Oooooh"

"...on table next to the Battalion HQ, to represent/remind the player of their availability..." In addition to the artillery support, there are the 'fubar' and 'interdiction'* markers (and possibly others?) - if done on the table, I foresee some clever dioramas being devised to represent the HQ and...

Re: The Falaise Pocket: a Chain of Command Solo AAR

Tangential hijack, re: 15mm v 28mm table But the distances moved should be the same, ie dice rolls? The impact comes from the sizes of the terrain models themselves. While they may both be placed at the same locations, the girth of the 28mm stuff makes quite a difference. This is most noticeable wit...

Re: Battalion level WW2 Now called "O" Group or the story of "Oooooh"

re: basing and figure size In trying to decide on how to best address this with my existing stuff (6mm based for Crossfire / IABSM and 15mm based for CoC) in the hopes of having to do as little work as possible to get a game onto the table once the rules are out (Easter can't come soon enough!) I lo...
