Re: Points and balancing

Reliability is rarely accounted for in games. A tank that breaks down before the battle starts is maybe even worse than one that was not even built.

Re: Boycot of TMP

I think Bill passed around the virtual tip jar.

It's my belief that everyone should be paid a living wage at a minimum, and relying on people's generosity to pay employees leaves me queasy. What's to stop him from doing this again if he wants profits?

Re: New to the game. Entrenchments: Markers or Terrain Pieces?

You could just put a gun sticking out from a bunch of slightly tented netting. Surround that with maybe a row of sand bags or small mounds of dirt and there you go.

Re: WW2 CHINESE NATIONALISTS IN 28mm

I got the impression that the Nationalists were reluctant to commit support equipment because they were afraid of losing it and then not having it to fight against their real enemy, the Communists. The Japanese were more of an inconvenient distraction to them

Re: Boycot of TMP

I changed my TMP username to something dismissive and have left. I've only browsed once and it was only to confirm that I made the right decision.

Re: Unarmoured Early Byzantine Skutatoi Second Unit Complete! 18/04/2021

Brent on Goobertown Hobbies (Youtube) did some testing and concluded that matte varnish spray on its own was just as effective as using gloss followed by matte. His testing method involves a monopoly board, conga lines of miniatures, plenty of touching, Funyons, and an insane amount patience and ded...

Re: Moving a jump-off point

I would allow the move (not sure the rules say one way or the other). Unless I can find a use for the JOP in another location, I'd rather just spend the COC die to avoid the BTH role for the JOP being overrun. Otherwise, the enemy could threaten to overrun the JOP in its new location.

Re: Who does 28mm WWII Allies in winter gear?

Brits (and other Commonwealth troops) didn't star in the only "big name" winter battle in the western front so there likely isn't a high demand, or at least the figure manufactures look at it that way.
