Re: Where do you get your models?

'Table scale' is lateral miniaturisation... A big advantage to doing this, imo, is the reduction of what I term 'tabletop translation' = what players have to do to change what they see into decision-relevant information regarding the space/distances represented with the terrain/minis. Put simply: W...

Re: Back gardens in Normandy houses/cottages

"Aerial photographs may be the way to go..." This site may be of help: https://remonterletemps.ign.fr/ It has some past photos including some WW2 recon shots - depends on the area, and they're certainly not GoogleEarth quality, but may be worth the time searching? What scale minis are you using?
They are 15mm - BF and Peter Pig infantry, mixed bag of 'I can't remember' for the vehicles.

Re: Tank Fire Twice in Phase

...lovely long table there! It really feels expansive. Thanks. Two factors critical to the table impact: 1) An extra foot to the standard length (7 instead of 6) and 1.5 to the width (as far as I can reach!) means over half again the square footage available. Of course, much of the action in the ga...

If You Survive... operation Cobra, 26 July 44

Beyond the usual desire to get toys on the table, I used this scenario to tackle some terrain (town/ruins, stream, and craters) as well as deploy a fair chunk of armor in a Chain of Command game. https://brawlfactory.files.wordpress.com/2021/07/move-down-to-stream-1.jpg?resize=219%2C219 https://braw...

Re: Tank Fire Twice in Phase

The Sherman got the first shot but missed. The MkIV fire was inconclusive (0 net hits), but the German interrupt in the following American phase scored 4 net hits and 'boom' went the Sherman.
