I'm sure that you can get creative with the torsos and legs to make some casualty markers. Maybe a bit grimmer than the usual ones though.

At the level of O Group, the gun crew would be trusted to find the best tactical position in the BUA. I'd give them some protection as that would be a consideration that they would make in choosing their position.

I think the fact that three of the guns blew up means that they probably were making their own canister rounds and likely over egged them by overstuffing them.

I'd say that a unit remains interdicted the whole turn. I would allow a try with a different unit though.

Basically, that first unit would be like what David gives an example of above. The resourceful CC turns to Plan B.

If you view kills as including people running away with no chance of rallying and also surrenders, the high casualties makes sense.

I don't know if "they are often in buildings" is true, or at least for the effective ones. I read a book written by a FOO and he said that he made a mistake when he chose a house as his post because that was the closest he came to death. When he called for artillery, the Germans reacted by mortaring...

For basing, I prefer steel for my smaller minis. That way I can line the carrier with magnetic sheet and the don't go anywhere.
