Re: Skirmisher additional movement use

Also remember that you end up facing in the direction you moved - so if you move up, fire, and move away, you end up facing away from your opponent. This means if you roll poorly on your retrograde movement, you not only end up still within the enemy's line of sight, you also end up with your back e...

Re: Barrage/Overwatch

In general, overwatch is only triggered when a target unit activates.

Re: Vehicle Flame Throwers

Bailing out with one less shock comes to mind? I.e. 2 shock for most vehicles. Minor note: you need to exceed the morale level of a vehicle to cause a bail-out. For most vehicles commanded by a JL, it takes 4 Shock to make the crew bail. But yes, only needing 3 Shock to cause the crew to bail out o...

Re: Fire in the Sky - Game Four

I've really been enjoying the series so far. I like what you're doing with some of your campaign and scenario options and look forward to continued reports from your play-testing.

Re: Command and Control

Hang on, Archie's response is missing the word "not". You cannot activate a unit more than once in a single turn.

A higher level leader may only activate units within his command radius if they have NOT already been activated and if their attached leader is of a lower status.

Re: Bogeys in solo BTH

Bogeys do still have a little bit of effect in solo BTH because it's possible to fail a spot test. You can't shoot what you can't see, so the unspotted side may have an advantage. And I agree, using random playing cards or markers as blinds would go a long way to mixing it up for both sides, especia...

Re: Fire in the Sky - Game Two

I love the rule about running out of a certain kind of support unit, that's a really cool idea!

Re: Draws in True Grit! Melee

Dave, when you say "behind" in this context do you mean physically behind, or is simply "still beside, but further back" sufficient?

Re: Sharpe Practice Characteristic

I do not add the dice for the Leader's status, as the leader isn't activating/directing the fire. As for being able to define a particular target, it depends on if the unit being activated with Sharp Practice is a single Group or a Formation. Single groups may target any unit within their arc of fir...
